Human Rights Council is an intergovernmental body within the United Nations system made up of 47 states, responsible for the promotion and protection of human rights all around the world. It addresses situations of human rights violations and makes recommendations on them. In light of the humanitarian crisis the world is facing, this council has come to the forefront with its actions and policies for refugees and people in war stricken areas.
